United Assistance for Ukraine (UAFORU) is a humanitarian non-profit organization founded by Alberto Andreani, a former Italian police officer with long-standing service in international missions with the IOM, UN, and OSCE. Established in direct response to the outbreak of war in Ukraine, UAFORU is committed to assisting vulnerable groups—including displaced people, families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
Our work spans emergency relief, medical care, legal support, housing assistance, and guidance for integration. We also invest in specialized training for our personnel to address complex protection issues such as human trafficking and the safeguarding of unaccompanied minors. By working closely with local authorities, civil society, and international institutions, UAFORU aims to restore dignity, resilience, and stability to communities affected by conflict.
Our values are the foundation of everything we do. We believe in:
Solidarity – standing together with those in need
Inclusion – supporting integration and social cohesion
Justice – defending the rights of the displaced and marginalized
Transparency – ensuring accountability in all our actions
Empowerment – promoting resilience through education and care
Collaboration – building bridges between communities and institutions
