Our mission is to provide coordinated, sustainable support to Ukrainians affected by war and displacement—across Austria, the European Union, and beyond. As a non-profit organization headquartered in Vienna, UAFORU focuses on delivering humanitarian assistance through the collection and distribution of essential goods, organizing aid transports, offering legal guidance, and providing housing and integration services.
We are particularly attentive to the needs of vulnerable populations and offer targeted support for families with children, people with disabilities, and those at risk of exploitation. Our activities extend to educational and child care services, as well as intercultural programs that foster understanding between host communities and displaced individuals.
UAFORU operates through a transparent and democratic governance structure, and is funded by membership fees, private donations, grants, and event proceeds. We build partnerships with local authorities and international organizations to ensure the delivery of timely, ethical, and impactful aid.
