Who We Are
United Assistance for Ukraine (UAFORU) is a humanitarian non-profit organization founded by Alberto Andreani , a former Italian police officer with experience in the UN, IOM, and OSCE. We assist displaced people, families, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities affected by the war in Ukraine.
We provide emergency aid, medical care, legal support, and housing while promoting integration and social inclusion. Our team is trained to address trafficking risks and protect unaccompanied minors, working in close coordination with local and international partners .

Our History
UAFORU was founded by Alberto Andreani, a former Italian police officer with extensive experience in international organizations such as the IOM, UN, and OSCE. His career focused on immigration, border management, and human trafficking, which equipped him with a deep understanding of humanitarian efforts. When the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, Alberto's personal mission to rescue his family members in Kharkiv turned into a larger humanitarian operation, leading to the rescue of 40 people. Inspired by his actions, UAFORU was formed to help vulnerable individuals in Ukraine. The organization focuses on establishing humanitarian corridors to evacuate displaced persons, particularly the elderly, disabled, and mothers with children, to safety in Austria, Italy, and other European countries. To date, UAFORU has successfully evacuated over 700 people and continues to provide ongoing support.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support Ukrainians affected by war , delivering relief aid , legal and housing assistance , and social services across Austria , the EU , and beyond .
We operate from Vienna through a wide humanitarian network , promoting intercultural exchange, integration , and l ong-term stability . As a non-profit, we rely on donations, grants, and community support , ensuring all actions are guided by transparency and international cooperation .
